Some Resources on Literary Theory

Literary studies is a diverse field. It intersects with cultural and area studies, history, philosophy, psychology and most other academic fields to at least some degree. As such, it’s almost impossible to provide an authoritative reading list. What you need to read depends mostly on your research goals and interests! However, the works below will give you a good overview of the central issues, history, and some of the current debates in literary theory and criticism.
